This is the second time we have been able to run this funded programme, generously supported by the Jersey Community Foundation (JCF). How MHFAider® training supports your charity’s people
Spotting the signs and symptoms
MHFAiders® gain the knowledge and skills to recognise early signs of poor mental health and symptoms of mental illness in colleagues, volunteers, and those they support, enabling earlier intervention and better outcomes.
Building confidence
Participants learn how to start supportive conversations about mental health and guide people towards appropriate help, helping to reduce stigma and foster a culture of care within charities.
Ongoing support
Following the course, MHFAiders® receive continued support and resources to help them remain confident and effective in their role.
Places and eligibility
Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to charities that did not previously receive a funded place. One funded place is available per charity.
